How to Upload & Add Your Own Stickers to LINE

You have the art — now get it into LINE. The Sticker Maker steps, plus how to prep files so submission is painless.

Tutorial

Making the images is only half the job; the other half is getting them into LINE so you (and others) can send them. That happens through the official LINE Sticker Maker. Before you open it, make sure your files are prepped — because most submission failures come from wrong sizes or non-transparent backgrounds, not from the app itself. The HailouTec cutter handles that prep: crop, 320×320, transparent PNG. If you are starting from a photo, the photo-to-sticker guide → walks the prep step first.

Prep before you upload

Step 1 — Open LINE Sticker Maker

Install and open the official LINE Sticker Maker app (or use the creator site). Sign in with the LINE account you want the stickers tied to.

Step 2 — Create a new set

Start a new sticker set. You will be asked for a name, a ratio/category, and the stickers themselves. Have your PNGs ready to import.

Step 3 — Import your stickers

Upload each 320×320 PNG. The app places them in the tray. Check that none show a white rectangle — if one does, go back and re-export it as PNG with the background removed.

Step 4 — Add tab and popup (if needed)

Some sets require a small tab icon (96×74) and a popup preview (240×240). Generate these from your main art at the correct sizes. The size & format guide → lists every dimension.

Step 5 — Review and submit

Preview the set in chat-like thumbnails. Confirm spacing, transparency, and that nothing is cut off. Then submit for review. LINE checks compliance (size, content policy, transparency) before the set goes live.

Common upload failures

FAQ

Do I need the Sticker Maker app to add my own stickers?

Yes — it is LINE’s official path to publish a set tied to your account. The cutter prepares the images; the maker submits them.

Can I add just one sticker?

Sets usually require a minimum number of stickers. Prepare several coherent images rather than a single one.

Why was my upload rejected?

Most rejections are size or transparency issues, or content policy. Fix the file and resubmit.

How should I size the tab and popup?

Tab 96×74, popup 240×240. Full details in the size guide →
